Resource Teaching
We in the Resource Department aim to provide an
opportunity for all our students to participate
as fully as possible in the whole school
curriculum.
Some students may present themselves on enrolment as
having special education needs and through
consultation and relevant education or medical
agencies, a plan is put into place to
accommodate the student with regards to her
individual needs and choices.
Tuition is provided on a one-to-one basis to support
the student in reaching her full academic
potential. A special needs assistant works
within the classroom to ensure the inclusion of
the student in the mainstream setting.
The
resource teachers are involved in consultation
and collaboration with subject teachers, parents
and outside agencies on an on-going basis
concerning the needs of each student. This
network also leads to the continuous screening
of the student within the school and many students
present themselves to the Resource Department
and avail of extra help as they progress through
their school life.
