The Transition Year Musical this year was the all-singing, all-dancing and hilarious comedy masterpiece 'HOT MIKADO'.

SHOW-TIME AT ST. LOUIS, MONAGHAN
Transition Year students from St Louis Secondary School, Monaghan are putting the finishing touches to their production of Hot Mikado, the all-singing, all-dancing, hilarious comedy version of Gilbert and Sullivan's popular operetta, The Mikado. Directed and choreographed by Lynn Jackson, with musical direction from Ms Marie Fortune-Henry, the show lives up to the high standards associated with performances from St. Louis students.
Set design, under the expert guidance of Mr Stephen Penders, and costumes expertly coordinated by Mrs Rosemary McElroy, add to the enjoyment of this hilarious 1940's musical. The main characters are Rachael Campbell (Mikado), Eimhin McElligott (Nanki Poo), Helen Keenan (Yum Yum), Stacey Cooney (Petti Sing), Aine Nar (Peep Bo), Rachel Hannon (Pish Tush), Aislinn McPhillips (Pooh Bah), Rachael McGlade (Karisha).
The first public performance of the show, the matinee, can be enjoyed on Sunday, 23rd October, at 2.30pm. There will be three evening performances ~ Tues 25th, Wed 26th, Thurs 27th October ~ all commencing at 8pm sharp. Tickets for the show can be purchased from Rocks of Monaghan, Park Street, or from the school office, at a cost of 10 or 25 for a family ticket. The show is sure to attract a full house ~ so get your tickets now, come early and enjoy this laugh~a~minute performance from the Transition Year students!
