U14 Football

Our 2nd year football team were out twice this week playing Donaghmore and Colaiste Oiriall in the first two games of the league. On Wednesday the girls played Donaghmore in Kilmore, Scotstown. Donaghmore were the stronger team on the day but the Louis girls used it as an opportunity to learn from their mistakes and improve their own game. There were some great performances on the field however, it just wasn't the day for the Louis Girls. Today the 2nd year footballers were out again playing Colaiste Oiriall. The girls really upped their performance from the previous day and showed some great skill and team work on what was a bitterly cold day. There were fantastic performances from all the

U16 Football Quarter Finals

Hard luck to our U16 team who were narrowly defeated by Bailieborough in the Ulster Quarter Finals on Tuesday afternoon. The girls played with passion and pride in their jersey and were a credit to themselves and the school. There were some fantastic performances all round but unfortunately, it wasn't our day. Keep the head up girls. We will be back again next year!

Sister Act Hits the Boards

Huge congratulations to all our Fourth Year students on a fantastic production of Sister Act. The girls got a superb right up in the Northern Standard, a testament to all the hard work the girls put in.Well done to all involved!

North East Maths Competition

Massive congratulations to St Louis 6th year students Simone, Alison, Grainne and Rhainna who achieved a brilliant 2nd place in the North East Region Maths Competition. Well done girls on a job well done!!! Special thanks to Mc Mc Donnell who mentored the girls :)

U14 Basketball

Hard luck to the first year basketball team who were narrowly defeated by Dunshuaghlin Community College in the Schools basketball league today in Dunshaughlin. The girls put in a fantastic effort but were unlucky on the day. Congratulations to the second year basketball team who beat Dunshaughlin today. They girls performed outstanding throughout all four quarters and should be very proud of themselves. The first and second year team will host Our Lady's Castleblaney in their next match after the half term.

Sister Act - Final rehearsals before the opening night

Sister Act dress rehearsals are well and truly underway as the students prepare for their opening night. The musical will be running Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th February. Make sure to get your tickets as they are selling fast. Tickets are available from Rock's, the School Office, St Macartans and on the School Arcade at break-time.

St Louis Represented at Ulster Cross Country Event

Congratulations to the St Louis girls who traveled to Lurgan on Friday to take part in an Ulster Schools Cross Country event. Briana MacCinna, Jessica Lawrence, Leah Smyth, Rebecca Sherry and Eve Mc Nally represented the school in the Junior event while Caoimhe Cudden took part in the intermediate event. Congratulations to Caoimhe who qualified for the Ulster Finals in Mallusk. Well done to all the girls on fantastic performances on the day.

Second Fittest Girls School in Ireland

This year St Louis took part in the Irish Life's Fittest Schools competition. The Schools’ Fitness Challenge invites secondary schools throughout the country to join in highlighting the importance of fitness to our future health and to make increasing physical activity a national priority.This competition involved 1st - 4th year students undertaking two fitness tests, one in October and one in November. This week the school were awarded the 2nd fittest girls school in Ireland, an absolutely fantastic accomplishment for all involved. Huge congratulations to all our students who took part and to our PE Department for all their hard work.

Sister Act Perform in Monaghan Shopping Centre

Some of the cast of the Sister Act musical performed in Monaghan Shopping Centre on Tuesday this week. The girls were absolutely fantastic!! Tickets are selling fast so make sure you have yours!!! Tickets are on sale in Rock's, St Louis School Office and St Macartans School.
