St. Louis student wins prestigious Good Friday Agreement Art competition

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of The Good Friday Agreement, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Department of Education and Skills organised a competition for primary and post-primary school students to produce creative works of Art. St. Louis 5th Year Student, Lauren Mc Kenna won one of five categories with her artwork of four of the main signatories of The Good Friday Agreement. The five winners attended an awards ceremony in Iveagh House, Dublin on Tuesday the 22nd of May with the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Simon Coveney T.D.. Well done Lauren on a phenomenal achievement. :)

St Louis, Monaghan Awards Ceremony 2018

The Annual Awards Ceremony in St Louis Secondary School, Monaghan took place in Halla San Lughaidh on Friday 18th May. Proceedings opened with a beautiful rendition of “ Gonna build a mountain” and “My favourite things” by the first year choir. Ms. Vera O’ Brien, Principal, began by extending a Céad Mile Fáilte to staff, students, invited guests, representatives from the Board of Management and Parents’ Association.
