Rang Deirdre organised an iOrienteering event for our First Years today. This event is a key component of their Leisure and Recreation Task for the Leaving Certificate Applied. Well done girls on a fantastic initiative.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome so many people to our Carol Service on Thursday last. The students sang and performed brilliantly. Congratulations to everyone involved in a wonderful celebration of the Christmas message.
Hard luck to Emma, Hannah and their Emmet Og teammates on their defeat in the All Ireland Intermediate Final against Clontarf on Saturday last. The Emmet Og team played very well and deserve enormous credit for all that they have achieved this year.
Well done to all those who took part in the Cross Country event in Kilmore, Scotstown on Thursday last. The Louis girls had great success with two of the Louis teams coming 3rd and Caoimhe O'Hanlon coming 1st in her 5th year race. Well done to all the girls who took part and to their teachers Miss O' Leary and Ms Mannion who accompanied them.
Congratulations to the U19 Basketball team who defeated St Vincent's Dundalk in the North East Regional Final in Carrickmacross on Tuesday 4th December. The Louis girls were kept to within a point by the end of the second quarter, with intense pressure from St Vincent's. However, the Louis girls fought hard and with commitment, dedication and team work stormed ahead with some outstanding play to cement their lead. At the final whistle St Louis had secured a comfortable win with a final score of 46-32. The U19 squad will progress to All-Ireland playoff's on the 19th January. We wish them and their coaches Miss Tavey and Miss Fleming all the best in the All Ireland Playoff's.
Best of luck to Hannah Hughes and Emma Mc Keown who will be representing Emmett Ogs in the All Ireland Club final this weekend. Emmett Og will be meeting Dublin side, Clontarf in what promises to be a thrilling game of football. All of us at St Louis want to wish the girls and Emmett Og the very of best this weekend. Bring the cup home!
