St Louis “Adopt a Nanny” programme.

A group of ten Transition Year students from St. Louis Secondary School are currently participating in the “Adpot a Nanny” programme in conjunction with Drumbear Lodge Nursing Home. Every Monday, the students visit the nursing home for one hour to have conversations with the residents and engage in fun activities. This programme gives the students the opportunity to give back to the local community and to connect with the older generation. It also enables the students to increase their social awareness. The students have entered their project for the DCU Intergenerational Solidarity Award 2019. Picture shows Rebecca O’ Brien, Sinead Mc Phillips, Chloe Markey, Lauren Mc Geown, Niamh Flynn wit
