1st year Football Blitz

Our first and second year footballers took part in a 9 a-side blitz in Cloghan on Friday last. A great day was had by all the girls.

St. Louis students excel in Junior Certificate exam

Students in St. Louis Secondary School were among the 871 students in Monaghan who received their Junior Certificate results on Friday last. As the new Junior Cert Framework continues to be phased in, this cohort of students were the first to be examined in the new Science and Business Studies syllabi. School Principal Margaret Conlon congratulated the students on receiving their results. “The excellent results attained by our students reflect a very successful partnership with students, staff and parents. U19 & U16 Basketball

Well done to our U19 and U16 basketball teams who represented the school against Dunshaughlin in the North East Schools Basketball League. Well done to both teams on a fantastic game.

Personal Safety course for St. Macartan's and St. Louis TY students

The Transition Years from St. Louis Secondary School and St. Macartan’s College had an excellent interactive presentation on Consent from Alex Walsh from Personal Safety Ireland in Halla San Lughaidh. The course covered everything from straight forward guidelines about maintaining their personal space, to the legal aspects of Consent. Alex also spoke to the students about making mature and responsible decisions in all their social interactions. The students also participated in the ‘Don’t Pour Your Dreams Away’ initiative, which aims to educate young people about the consequences of indulging in alcohol at a young age.
