Caoimhe O' Hanlon Pentathlon Success

All Ireland success for 5th year Louis student Caoimhe

Caoimhe O’ Hanlon, a 5th year student of St. Louis Secondary School, recently competed in the All Ireland schools combined events at the AIT indoor arena Athlone. Her chosen event was the Senior Pentathlon, which comprised of 5 athletic disciplines-The shot put, high jump, long jump, sprint hurdles and an 800m run. Caoimhe achieved the bronze medal, coming third overall in what was a tough contest. This is a fantastic achievement for this young athlete.

Caoimhe is a member of Glaslough Harriers AC where the high jump and 800-1500m running events are her specialities. Every year she participates in local events as well as Ulster school competitions where she represents St. Louis Secondary School with distinction.

The future looks very bright for this talented athlete. Well done Caoimhe and all the very best in future athletic events.
