TY Students Fundraise for Make a Wish

St. Louis TY students organised a fundraiser to raise money for Make-A- Wish. Six girls: Ciara Fanning, Lauren McGeown, Aine Aughey, Elizabeth O’Hare, Niamh Flynn and Fiona McGeough came up with the idea to sell cookies and other treats such as reindeer food, hot chocolate sticks and much more. Last Sunday the 25th November, they set up a stall at the switching on of the lights. They sold plenty of goodies and joined the rest of the people of Monaghan Town to watch the lights being switched on for Christmas 2018. They hope to have more fundraisers and have organised one for the shopping centre on Monday, December 3rd so make sure to pop around and buy some cookies or any of their other treats, all in aid of a good cause.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted wishes for more than 2,000 brave children across the country.

Well done girls on showing great initiative, this is the true meaning of Christmas.
