St Louis students showcase their Entrepreneurial Talent.
As part of the Enterprise Module in St Louis, Transition Year students took part in the Student Enterprise Program. It is the biggest enterprise competition for students in Ireland. The program encourages students to develop real life skills associated with running a business including working as part of a team, managing production and finances, organising a sales and marketing campaign and liaising directly with customers.
The students set up a company producing scented candles and made a significant profit, some of which was dedicated to a charity in the local area. The County final of the SEP took place on Thursday 7th March in The Four Seasons Hotel. The St Louis Transition Year girls picked up an award for the Best Display in the County Final, a great achievement for the girls and great recognition for all the hard work and dedication involved in the run up to the competition. Well done to team members Niamh Flynn, Aimee Mc Carron, Erica Gormley and Aoife Gavan. The girls really appreciate the support and guidance from Ms Mannion .
