St. Louis students excel in Junior Certificate exam
Students in St. Louis Secondary School were among the 871 students in Monaghan who received their Junior Certificate results on Friday last.
As the new Junior Cert Framework continues to be phased in, this cohort of students were the first to be examined in the new Science and Business Studies syllabi.
School Principal Margaret Conlon congratulated the students on receiving their results.
“The excellent results attained by our students reflect a very successful partnership with students, staff and parents. The students are to be commended for their hard work and commitment combined with the guidance and advice given by their teachers and parents.
The new Junior Cert encourages our students to be creative and become critical thinkers and problem solvers. This exam result marks an important milestone in the educational journey of these young people and a stepping stone to the Leaving Certificate. In St. Louis Secondary School our students will continue to be at the heart of the learning and we will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure that the holistic educational opportunities we provide will prepare them for the many challenges which lie ahead.”
