St Louis Secondary School is honoured to host a very special event on Monday, 12th October, as part of the Autumn Programme celebrating the 50-year legacy of Project Children and the official launch of Jane Buckley’s new book, “Project Children – The Legacy”.

We are delighted to welcome our 4th, 5th and 6th Year students to a special screening of the award-winning documentary Project Children: How to Defuse a Bomb, taking place in Halla San Lughaidh at 11:15 a.m. This promises to be a valuable and inspiring opportunity for our students to learn about the remarkable history of Project Children and its extraordinary contribution to peace and reconciliation.

We are particularly honoured to welcome Denis Mulcahy, a founding member of Project Children who has dedicated so much of his life to its mission. We are also delighted to welcome Catherine Flood, a former St Louis Head Girl and devoted Project Children volunteer for over 25 years, whose continued passion and commitment to promoting the documentary are truly inspiring.

This prestigious event is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to reflect on the power of compassion, understanding and reconciliation, and to celebrate a legacy that has made such a meaningful difference to so many lives.

A sincere word of thanks to Mr Sherry and Ms McCaffrey for their hard work, dedication and commitment in organising this memorable occasion.

We look forward to welcoming our special guests and being part of this significant celebration of the enduring legacy of Project Children. 💙
